Speaker Profiles
The DGCX Commodity & Currency Futures workshops are run by professional traders, Simon Hart and Bill Beagles from K2 London Ltd.
K2 London
K2 London is a UK based company providing education, training and consultancy in all matters relating to the financial, equity, commodity and energy markets. In particular, they have a unique, practical and specialist knowledge of the derivatives industry.
Simon Hart
Simon started his career at Hambro’s Merchant Bank, gaining experience in FX and deposit markets before helping to establish the “off balance sheet” side of their activities, such as swaps, futures and options. From 1987 to 1998, he traded as an independent market-maker in options products on LIFFE (The London International Financial Futures Exchange). He then moved to Fortis Bank for a period of 2 years where he established and supervised an options trading team. Simon then left the bank to become a founding member of K2.
Bill Beagles
Bill joined Lloyds Bank in 1984 as an economics graduate. He traded FX spot, forwards and options for the bank before helping establish their presence on LIFFE. He has traded successfully on many of Europe’s markets, including the London Stock Exchange and LIFFE in London, the German DTB (now known as Eurex), the Dutch EOE and the French MATIF (now known as Euronext). Bill was also a founding member of K2.
